I always believe that the skin needs 2 important things, (i) exfoliator, and (ii) moisturiser. The skin tends to create dead skin cells on the surface of the skin which leaves the skin looking dull, rough, and dry. Exfoliation is very important because it helps to shed skin cells and generate new ones. In fact, exfoliation helps to clear clogged pores as well as to break up the pigmented cells to allow hyperpigmentation to fade. The best thing about exfoliation is it helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles as it tricks the skin to regenerate new cells.
There’s a few tricks to get a youthful looking skin, and one of them is to get a body scrub that has dual functions, that is, exfoliator and moisturiser. There are many products in the market that claimed to effectively scrub off all the dead skin cells, but often times, they ended up overdrying the skin which lead to more problematic skin such as breakouts, and flaky skin.
Olive Oil is famously known with its 3 important properties: Vitamin E, Polyphenols, and Phytosterols. I love having olive oil massaged onto my skin because it does not clog the pores, and helps restore skin smoothness and protects against ultraviolet light. I usually mix a tablespoon of Olive Oil with a tablespoon of honey and massage the mixture onto my skin as part of my facial mask routine. It helps to exfoliate the skin and make my skin glows.

What I Say
The Body Shop Olive Body Scrub comes in a sturdy transparent plastic tub with a dark olive green cap. It’s travel friendly but less hygienic because it does not include plastic scoop to take out the scrub from it.
The scrub particles are light greenish colour which is not harsh to the skin. This body scrub has a more delicate olive scent. It has a very thick, creamy consistency with small natural exfoliating particles. It gets spread on damp skin easily and does not fall out while using. I usually apply it onto my damp skin thrice a week, and it actually helps to tone and firm my skin as well as makes my skin smooth and glow. It’s best to be worn with Body Shop Olive Body Butter to keep the skin moisturized.
