Review: [Nella Fantasia] After Pore Scaling Pore Refining Serum (애프터 포어 스케일링 세럼)

Hi! I hope I haven’t left this blog unattended because I have been pretty busy these few weeks. Apologize for not being able to post some reviews nowadays. Anyway, I will try my best to find some time to share what I think about the products which I bought. As you can see from the title itself, I actually bought [Nella Fantasia] After Pore Scaling Pore Refining Serum from Althea online store since I noticed that my skin has turned into… well… ‘Shrek’. I hadn’t been able to pamper my skin due to my hectic schedule. I have been trying to adjust myself with the new life – juggling between responsibilities. 

[Nella Fantasia] After Pore Scaling Pore Refining Serum is another Korean product which I trusted the brand because of their good reviews. In fact, I tried Nella Fantasia Honey One Snail Ultra Moisture Cream previously which really made my skin supple and bouncy. It actually healed pimples and scars. You have to read my review about this Honey One Snail Ultra Moisture Cream if you would love to know what I think about it. By the time I wrote this post, Althea has actually discontinued selling this [Nella Fantasia] After Pore Scaling Pore Refining Serum. I am not sure about the reason for discontinuation.

[Nella Fantasia] After Pore Scaling Pore Refining Serum contains a variety of plant ingredients such as green tea, witch hazel, and papaya extract. It really hard to find more information about this product in English language since most of the information is in its native language – Korea. This product claims to effectively solve the problems of enlarged and clogged pores. It aims to create a flawless and perfect skin.

[Nella Fantasia] After Pore Scaling  Pore Refining Serum is said to be used at the final step of skin care routine. Just squeeze out a sufficient amount of it and apply thinly on areas that require attention such as excessive production of sebum, and enlarged pores. The T-Zone and cheeks are the areas which I would focus on because these are the places where I usually get pimples, and I hate the look of ugly enlarged pores. According to the direction of usage itself, this serum should be applied after deep cleansing for effective result.

What do I think about this [Nella Fantasia] After Pore Scaling  Pore Refining Serum, anyway? Well, it comes in a small 25g tube, just like those lipgloss tube. The serum comes in a clear gel-like one, and has a nice and thin texture. It is easy to use because the tube is also a squeezable one. The only problem about the packaging is the language which is in native Korean language. I had to look on the Internet for the information. Unfortunately, less information is made available in English language. Even their website comes with a description in Korean language.

So far this serum does not give my skin with extra dryness or breakouts. It actually reduces the appearance of my enlarged pores as well as less sebum production. It has cooling sensation, a bit. It does not give my skin with greasy feeling even after a few hours after application. It just feels a bit sticky after application which can be used as a primer before applying make-up base. The best thing about this serum is it can be layered with make-up base without even making the make-up look cakey on the skin.

However, I have to be frank here that this product is said to have Triethanolamine that is said help preventing inflammatory acne but can caused cause bladder and liver cancer, as well as changes in testicles. I’m not sure if I should be recommending this product even though it feels good on my skin. It really works on my skin but I am actually contemplated on recommending this to everyone because of one of the ingredient. I would not be surprised if Althea has discontinued selling this. Perhaps the ingredient may be one of the reasons for such discontinuation.

The price is quite affordable, MYR29.00 for one single tube of 25g. Since Althea is no longer selling it, then you might want to look it at some of  the links down here which I have listed for you. They are online sellers who sell authentic Korean beauty products but the price may be pricier than the price which I bought from Althea last month.
