My Perspective: Khai Puma Jamal – Singing My Line

Happy Thursday, people! I’m going to be a bit busy today as I need to sort things off before weekend. My friend dropped me a message about his latest single. According to him, the song is actually dedicated to his friends who have passed away not long ago. This song is quite melancholic as the lyrics is referring to the suffering having to miss someone so badly.

From my perspective, this song is about the singer who is suffering, heart-broken, and missing his other half. It’s something like the feeling of regret for unable to keep his loved one close to him. I can only say that this song is a sad one. I just cannot wait to watch the MV anyway, I hope it’s a worth especially when it a collaboration with Douglas Henry of Pusakag Studio.

Singing My Line

I’m counting my tears
That dropped from my eyes
And shattered away
I feel so alone

But I realize, you’re in my heart
I miss you, miss you so much
I never thought you’ll go away from me

I’m counting the days
Since you went away and left me alone
My pain is too much

Then I realize, you’re in my heart
I miss you, miss you so much
Again, and again

In my heart, in my mind
I hear you singing my line
Everyday, every night
I tried to understand why
How could I feel you
When you are not around?
I must have been missing you

I’m counting the stars
So bright in the sky
In my lonely nights
I know I don’t deserve to be with you

But I realize, you’re in my heart
I miss you, miss you so much
Again and again

And again
I did hear you singing my line
And all of this love in my heart
Will keep me alive
While you were not here by my side
