Chapped lips are a sign that you’re not drinking enough water but flaky lips might be an indicator that you’re dehydrated which leads to stinky breath. Both chapped and flaky lips need to have extra care with constant moisturizing and exfoliating to prevent lips discolouration. Flaky lips oftentimes make the lips look rough, and uneven surface. It makes the lips unsuitable to apply lipstick, especially matte lipstick. If you’re planning to have some sexy pout just like Selena Gomez or Kylie Jenner, make sure to exfoliate your lips and apply lip balm at least an hour beforehand.
I also find exfoliating my lips using towel, toothbrush, or spoolie can be quite harsh on the skin layer. While it removes all the flaky and dead skin cells, it also makes the lips’ thin layer bleed. Yes. It can be very harsh to the skin. So, I have been looking around including making my own lips scrub which does not work on me.

I bought myself 2 different flavours of lips scrub from Love, Lusie recently – Zesty Lips, and Minty Lips. Why 2? Because I wanted to try both flavours so much. Plus, the price is very very very affordable! I am very confident with Love, Lusie products because they are made from natural ingredients, unlike those mass-produced products which have high chemical additives.
Each Love, Lusie Lips Scrub comes in a tightly secured 10g aluminium container. Very travel-friendly, and it would never leaked out from the container. The packaging is simple and straight-forward.
Both Minty Lips Lip Scrub and Zesty Lips Lip Scrub contain sugar, sweet almond oil, Vitamin E, and mica. Zesty Lips has more orangey flavour while the Minty Lips has refreshing peppermint flavour. Unlike my own homemade lips scrub which I usually ended up eating them, this Love, Lusie lips scrub really works wonder, making my lips sexy and velvety smooth.
My Final Verdict
To be frank enough, my favourite is Minty Lips. I just love itu rasa padas-padas sana bibir. Not stingy lah but siok tu rasa dia. Zesty Lips is suitable for those who don’t like peppermint, and it has mild scent, too. The price is super affordable. MYR10 for 10g. Recommended and please do support our local products.
