Dayve needs a vacation from his hectic life, now! My first place for a staycation would be in Singapore, the land of the riches. In case you live under a rock, Singapore is located to the south of Malaysia and one of the developed and modern countries in South East Asia. I have been browsing for some hotels with historical accents and biodiversity rainforest ecosystems around the country. For the time being, there is this one Hotel in Singapore that fits into my Hotel Wishlist. It is so high up that I am starting to dream of it.
I admit my wishlist might be a bit high-end since I have not been able to travel for the past 2 years. Work in the office gets me tied up, daily heaps of workload – day in, day out. So, I have been reading from these travelogues for months, and one of my wishlists would be to stay in a restored military building from the 1880s that is beyond Singapore’s pulsating metropolitan centre that lays next to Sentosa Island. Does it sound crazy or interesting? Crazy interesting, you know it!
Everything seems so easy these days. I can simply get some information on preferred hotels that are blessed with the cocoon of tropical foliage and softly illuminated halls, at the tip of my fingers. In other words, a beautiful corner that has all these “peace and tranquility” quality and not forgetting some great spots to take photos for my Instagram posts. All by just typing a few words on the internet, and voila! I get my answer along with a bunch of great, helpful photos.
For those who have been to Singapore before, you might be very familiar with Capella Singapore. Yes! My next trip to Singapore would be Capella Singapore on Sentosa Island. It is very big and has 112 rooms, suites, villas and manors that are immaculately designed with touches of Asia and infused with ultra-slick contemporary designs. All of their rooms are equipped with bedside touch panel control for lighting, air-condition and drapes. There are also two 46-inch flat-screen TVs – one in the bedroom and the other in the living area. It keeps up with the technology and needs of a modern-day hotel. Give me goosebumps just by thinking about it. Can you imagine what my Insta posts are going to look like? Awesome!
I have been eyeing this place after I read some reviews and compare prices on the internet. It has been one of the greatest hotels to stay in when travelling to Singapore. Apart from its contrasting British colonial past and its modern, edgy present architectures, this Capella Singapore has been named TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice as the #1 luxury hotel in Singapore in 2014 and 2015. It is also listed in Forbes Travel Guide’s Five Star Hotels collection year after year. And you don’t mess around with these two – they give you the most awesome option. I am so looking forward to my Capella Singapore trip. Can’t wait!
