Beauty: The Body Shop Mini Satsuma Body Puree

I love citrus fruits so much but that doesn’t mean I’d love to have myself smell like one! I’ve been introduced with this The Body Shop Mini Satsuma Body Puree by my auntie when we met at the Church a few Sabbath (Saturday) ago. The refreshing orange scent really caught my attention as my auntie sat next to me. I was tempted to ask but I guess she noticed that I was about to ask her as she showed me a tiny bottle of body lotion. Creamy orange-coloured. “You should try this, and write a review about it. It’s a nice body lotion.” As I applied it on my hands, I could smell the lovely citrus fragrance. Refreshing. I was hoping that other church members weren’t notice with that delicious scent. LOL!

It has lovely orangey scent.

What They Say?

Satsuma is a member of the orange family and was brought to Japan from China in the mid-16th century. Known for its thin, easy-to-peel skin, it grows well in the cold citrus areas of Japan. The rind contains numerous oil glands, which is a source of essential oils used for perfumes and body products. The essential oil is cold-pressed from the peel of the fruit and is typically a yellow or orange colour. The oil, which has a sweet, tangy scent much like the fruit itself, moisturises and nourishes the skin. This lightweight body moisturiser has a bright and fresh citrus scent. It hydrates skin effectively and leaves it feeling soft and smooth.

Easily absorbed…

What I Say?

I bought The Body Shop Mini Satsuma Body Puree from TBS Wisma Merdeka, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, because I fall in love with the orangey smell. It’s not greasy at all, and I find it absorbs quickly than I thought. The bottle comes with an open-jar body lotion which is easy to pump out the required amount of lotion. Moreover, it’s very convenient to bring along as it’s only a small bottle and no need to worry having it leaking inside handbag as it does not even come up with a pump. Even though the smell quickly dissipates, it did a very good job of keeping my skin moisturised. In short, it’s non-greasy which leaves my skin feeling soft. However, this doesn’t mean you will get a fully rehydrated skin because this puree is just a normal lotion with lightweight formula. It other words, it still functions as moisturiser like those other body lotions. You should opt for Mini Satsuma Body Butter if you’re looking forward for a 24-hour hydration.
