This Aloe Vera gel by Holika Holika is a bestseller product which is usually out of stock. There are various ways to use this gel, so I’m going to share some tips about this soothing gel.

What I Say
Unlike Fruit of the Earth’s Aloe Vera Gel which cannot be applied on the face, I love this Holika Holika Aloe 99% Soothing Gel because it does not leave my skin with the tingling sensation, this aloe vera gel is so gentle on my skin. The gel comes in a aloe-like tub which is easy to squeeze out the amount of gel needed. The gel is quite watery but does not leave the skin with stickiness.
Since it does not irritate the skin when applied onto my face, I usually apply this gel as moisturizing mask pack which I leave it on my face for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. It keeps my skin cool and relaxed. This aloe vera also is good to be used as base make-up because it blends well with any liquid foundations or creamy concealer. I usually mix aloe vera gel with liquid foundation so that the skin gets moisturized and keep the make-up to last longer. It’s also a great product to reduce swollen eyes. I usually soak cotton pads in aloe vera gel and leave in the fridge until it’s cold before putting the pads onto my eyes.
This aloe vera gel can also be applied on breakouts, sunburned, or broken skin because it so soothing and contains healing properties. I did apply this on my broken, and sunburned skin. It’s suitable for sensitive skin, too! I usually put this in the fridge because it is so cooling once applied onto the skin. Moreover, this product absorbs into the skin faster without leaving the skin feeling greasy or sticky.
The price for a 250ml tube is $10.00. It’s quite pricey but still considered as affordable considering the multi-function and it can last for about 3-4 months depending on the usage. There are quite a number of counterfeit product bearing Holika Holika brand which sold as low as $4.00. The authentic Korean products always have sticker on its lid. Yup. The sticker with Korean words.
My Verdict
The benefits override the price because it can be used for whole body. I love this gel because it makes my skin clean and refreshing. I also helps to heal my breakouts, and sunburned skin. The best thing about this product is it does not leave my skin dry, and irritates. I’m going to repurchase this product again, and it’s suitable for my sensitive skin.
