There are tons of applicator puffs available in the market but one should never miss to try this A’bloom applicator puff or A’bloom Meringue Puff which is so cute as it resembled a cute meringue. Alas! They cannot be eaten, but can be used to blend the foundation on the face.
The first beauty tool from A’bloom by Althea is the first meringue sponge puff designed which was inspired by baking meringue cookies. Achieve the perfect skin makeup with the lovely, cute pastel pink colour and cookie-shaped meringue puff.
The A’bloom applicator puff has a flat edge, and it works best to press foundation into your skin, not bounce it. They are so cute especially the Baby Meringue Puff. Both are made of high density latex-free foam which can be used both dry or wet make-up application. The bigger puff is recommended for foundation or BB cream application while the smaller puff is for dabbing on a small area such as cheek or forehead.
The Meringue Puffs are suitable for all skin types and do not contain any harmful materials that could irritate sensitivities. It’s also cruelty-free, so no cute furry animals were harmed in the process of making this product (yay!).
They are more denser compared to other puffs available in the market. I find this is quite tricky for me to blend out my foundation and it actually took me some time to blend everything out as it does not spread the product out easily. Probably because I was so used with other brands of applicator puff. Anyway, I noticed that this Meringue Puffs are so nice to my skin especially when it is wet. Oh, any applicator puff is supposed to be used wet (not dry) because the damp surface gives you streak-free blending and a dewy finish.
The meringue puffs are made out of non-latex sponge with hydrophilic properties which will grow 1.5 times bigger than normal size when soaked with water allowing makeup to be applied perfectly on the skin.
I usually soak it into a bowl of warm (not hot) water because I love how it makes my make-up that awesome finish. It is so nice to see when it expands to twice its size when wet. Here’s a note that we (I also need to take note) about the cleansing. According to an online Health magazine, it is recommended to clean the puff every day so that there is no bacteria build up.
Rea Ann recommends you pour cleanser on your sponge after every use, meaning every day. Make sure to keep the plastic cylinder it comes in as a drying station.

Believe it or not. I usually use this applicator puff when applying moisturizer because of its ability to blend everything into the skin. Sometimes, I do find it is therapeutic to dab this soft puff as if I’m massaging my skin. I guess it is better than rubbing my face. LOL! It does a great job of blending your foundation into your skin, giving you a seamless, non-cakey application… and that cute appearance is irresistible. The price is between MYR8.00 – MYR11.00. It’s so worth buying!
