Beauty On Budget: PIXY BB Cream Bright Fix SPF30 PA+++
Posted On December 9, 2017
I’m so sorry for the hiatus as I was fully occupied with other commitments these few weeks. I’m sure most of you were curious about my silence, as if I would abandon this blog. There are tons of products lining up waiting for me to write review but I have to detox my skin first because I think I have been ‘changing’ skincare products so much this year. Anyway, here’s the product which I bought last month. It’s quite famous in Indonesia, and this brand is actually famous among local make-up artists in Sabah, too. Why? Because PIXY Two-Way Foundation Cake really blends well, and the coverage is really great.
With just less than MYR20 (Retal Price: RM16.80), this PIXY BB Cream Bright Fix SPF30 PA+++ is a great catch because the price alone will never burn a hole in the pocket. It can be easily bought from any Watsons outlets all over Malaysia. It has a very lightweight texture than ordinary foundation and it usually provides better coverage with added skincare benefits such as sunscreen, anti-oxidant, whitening, and anti-aging.
PIXY brand uses its Japanese expertise to develop quality cosmetics to suit Asian skin with each formulation clinically tested to be safe. In fact, PIXY products are created from high Japanese standards and use natural ingredients for a healthy and beautiful skin.

What I Say
The product comes in a cute pink and white theme. It has all the basic information about the product which is good enough for the customers to check before making a purchase.
PIXY BB Cream has a nice and lightweight texture, just as what I expected most BB creams to have. It blends well into the skin and has a nice coverage. The only thing that I don’t like (but can still tolerate) is the overpowering floral scent. I would not recommend this product to be used by those who are not a big fan of floral scent, and those who have sensitive skin.
PIXY BB Cream gives a natural matte finishing which is good for those who have normal to oily skin. I would like to advice that there is a need to apply moisturizer before wearing any BB cream because there is a tendency that the skin can become dry, very dry.
Though it has SPF 30 PA+++, I would still recommend my readers to apply sunscreen because it may be not enough if it depends on what this product has included in it. I must say, “Two is better than one.” LOL. There is no harm wearing extra protection, anyway.
I bought Ochre shade because the rest seemed to be quite dark for my skintone. It fits for those who have yellow undertone (warm). It will never turn you into greyish-looking monster. I must say this BB cream blends well with my skin tone.
PIXY BB Cream claimed to contain Natural Whitening Extract, and Vitamin C to promote brighter skin. I’m not sure about this one because this is something which cannot be seen from using one time only. I guess I need to keep on using this until I finished one whole product to see the result. I just hope it does not make my skin too dry. 🙂
The coverage is nice, and great for those who have minimal skin problems. I would say there is a need to apply concealer because this BB cream is not designed to cover all blemishes. It can be layered with loose powder to create a flawless coverage but as for me, I would wear this BB cream without patting a powder because I do not like to make my skin look too matte.
As I have combination skin, this BB cream may not be able to keep my skin ‘oily-free’ or matte for more than 5 hours. I think it is still tolerable, anyway. I can say this product never failed me as it does not give me breakouts, rashes, or irritations. I guess this is a nice BB cream though it contains Paraben, Silicone, and Fragrance. I would not recommend this product if you are looking for BB cream that is free from Paraben, Silicone, and Fragrance, though.
Will I Purchase This Product Again?
Definitely a YES since it does not contribute to breakouts, and it does not clogged my pores. The price is definitely within a budget, too!
