Most of us would skip skin toning routine because we assume that it’s similar to cleanser. Basically, toners are meant to be used shortly after we cleansed our face either using a bar soap or cleanser. However, these cleansers tend to raise the skin’s natural pH to a level that it’s viewed as harmful for skin. Although there are more gentle, and water-soluble cleansers available in the market, the skin’s pH still needs a range of ingredients that restore and repair the surface. In short, toner can give the skin with healthy, fresher, and smoother look after cleansing.
Toner does a few things, and it clears the pores so that any other products that are applied onto the skin can be fully absorbed into the skin. Natio products are well-known for their cruelty-free, and natural ingredients all the way from Australia. This is one of my favourite toners for my everyday beauty regime as it does not leave my skin with taut or dry feeling.

What I Say
Natio Young Oil Control Toning Lotion comes in a turquoise plastic bottle, and I find the packaging is very simple and neat. It doesn’t have awful chemical smell like other toner, and it actually has a faint nutty fragrance which I think it’s very nice one. This toner is great for acne prone or oily skin as it removes excess sebum and hydrates the skin.
I started by cleansing my face with 4-2-4 face washing method. I didn’t dry my skin with face towel because I would ‘dry’ my skin with cotton pads which were saturated with toner on my face, neck, and décolletage at night to complete the cleansing routine, and in the morning to remove excess sebum produced during the night as well as to balance the skin’s pH. After that, I proceeded applying the facial mist, serum, Vitamin E oil, eye cream, Natio Young Oil Free Moisturiser, and sunblock.
It does not give me breakouts, and I love how it makes me skin purified without that taut feeling. This is definitely worth buying as it also control the sebum production. Perfect to be applied with other skincare brands. Great for men, too!
