Welcome, December! A few more weeks to go before Christmas, and New Year. Yay! Anyway, today is my appointment with my skin therapist, and we discussed about facial mist which definitely contribute to a dewy glow looking skin. There are many facial mists available in the market nowadays, and it can be a headache just to get one that’s perfect for the skin. In fact, facial mists can temporarily change the appearance the skin as well as make the skin feel refreshed.
Dehydrated skin is a big no-no, and it’s not even sexy especially when the wrinkles are almost visible. Thus, it’s nice to use a facial mist because it’s the fastest way to get extra moisture or skin booster. Furthermore, it’s great to freshen up when you’re on the go! However, there are two different types of facial mists – Thermal, and Mineral Water Mist. Each of this facial mist has its own functions. Some facial mists have some added ingredients that might dry your skin because it stripes away the protective layer of oil or sebum. Obviously, spraying water on your face and mist won’t ruin your make-up, rather help to guard your skin’s moisture level. It’s prefect for long hour in a heavily air-conditioned office or long flights.
As we tend to grow older, the skin needs more moisturizer. Getting a matte skin is no longer my favourite as I find wrinkles are more visible when the skin in dry. Frankly speaking, I find that my skin looks a lot better when I mist with a facial spray just before applying my skin with a cream or oil. The reason is very simply. It’s because moisturizing on a damp face helps to lock in the water on the upper layers of the epidermis and prevent evaporation. I also do the same thing to my clients when I do their make-up. Misting is my top priority before dusting all the make-up on the face. So, what are my favourite facial mists? Want to know?
