Where To Eat: Tavern Kitchen & Bar’s New Menu – Lobster Nasi Lemak

Lobster Nasi Lemak? It’s all the rage now. More and more people are craving to have lobster over chicken wings to perfectly complement with their humble Nasi Lemak. Why Lobster Nasi Lemak? The dish is actually served with a whole lobster topped with delicious and creamy cheese sauce and seasoned with ground herbs. Furthermore, it comes with condiments such as fried egg, sambal chilli, peanuts, and anchovies. I got the chance to bring Mr. Hubby to accompany me during lunch time yesterday because I was craving for Fish N’ Chips. Since he is quite a busy man, I had to persuade him by saying that Tavern Kitchen & Bar has a new menu – Lobster Nasi Lemak, which is actually his favourite dish. That guy is really obsessed with L.O.B.S.T.E.R.

I made a reservation beforehand, and took the risk that he might reject my offer to bring him out during lunch time. Fortunately, he agreed to have lunch with me just because of ‘lobster’.  😈 We reached at Tavern Kitchen & Bar around 1:30pm, and there were a few groups of people in the premise, since it was almost end of lunch time. Most people were rushing back to their office.

So, we placed order straight away as we knew what we would want to have for lunch. I had to convince Mr. Hubby that he should try the new menu because I’m allergy to seafood (except fish). He was reluctant at first because he thought it was kind of weird to have Nasi Lemak with Lobster. We got ourselves fresh juices – Carrot Milk Juice, and Pineapple Juice. I love those fresh fruit juices served at Tavern Kitchen & Bar because they allow the customers to pour the sugar into their drinks – freedom to either have fresh fruit juice with or without sugar.

Lobster Nasi Lemak is served with a 400g lobster, and other condiments. The price? Currently on introductionary price which is RM49 (usual price: RM79). Definitely using only fresh catch! The meat is so tender (according to my hubby) and grilled with ground herbs and filled with creamy cheese. There are 3 types of sauce to choose from – Buttermilk, Satay Sauce, or Sambal.

What Mr. Hubby Said About Lobster Nasi Lemak?

He actually loved his Lobster Nasi Lemak because the meat from the lobster was sweet and cooked to perfection. He even finished the whole lobster, and burped with satisfaction… It was really appetising. Really worth it. Mr. Hubby said, “The taste is beyond words. What about my food?

I actually had Fantastic Fish N’ Chips for lunch as I had been craving for it since last week. I actually loved how it was served with fresh salads. Tavern Kitchen & Bar has never failed to amaze me with their nice foods, and their Fish N’ Chips is one of my favourite one. I loved their fresh sauce that is served together. Bukan sos yang main kasi keluar dari dalam botol sos yang bulih kita beli di mana-mana kadai supermarket. Apa lagi ada di Tavern Kitchen & Bar? Ada juga daging-daging, kalau mau yang ‘tinggi protein’. Janji, diorang serve yang segar sahaja.
