Time is precious. Time is everything. Time is life. I’m not sure I can live without time because time is the only thing that bind me with my memories and future. Without time, I have nothing but an obscuration. If I have something to keep in my life, that would definitely be the ‘time’ because once it is in the past, it may never come back. Every single thing in this world depends on time, even momentum depends on time. Continue Reading
I’ve thought a lot about this question in the past few years and I realized that being an adult means there are more responsibilities and the need to keep on dreaming while trying to stay conscious. Yalah. For some people, being an adult means one cannot act like child, play with a child, or even have a silly dreams. Does that mean I have to let go all my dreams if I have to be an adult? I don’t think so. Continue Reading
I recently installed an app called ‘Question Diary‘ on my phone. It’s a pretty interesting app as it is a free question-and-answer-based diary app for Android. So, rather than posting something that I should not do, I have decided it’s time for me to write about something that I ‘need’ to answer. Kononlah. Tapi, kalau sudah bilang menjawab soalan, kasi jawab sikit-sikitlah bah kan? Sia faham jugalah kadang-kadang ada bah yang bosan kalau balik-balik benda sama saja sia blog – buat ulasan produk. LOL. Hi, guys! I hope you’re doing fine today. It’s already May and we all know that this is the month that we have been waiting for – Celebration Month! First of all, I would love to wish all of you Kotobian Tadau Tagayo Do Kaamatan (Happy Havest Festival). Anyway, I didn’t get to witness the grand Kaamatan celebration in Tambunan because I was fully occupied with new blogging tasks. So, Mr. Hubby decided to bring us to Sutera Harbour Resort to get some fresh air and watch the sunset (he knows what’s my favourite view, anyway).
Most women are worried that they would have wider hips after pregnancy. It is unavoidable but the size can be shrinked to normal size, the size when you haven’t got pregnant. I am a Mom of 2 kids, and I still have my pre-pregnancy body. Well, I have a Grandma who is quite strict when it comes to post-partum. She (and she ‘allied’ with my mom) to ensure that I learn how to wear bengkung or traditional wrap (traditional girdle or even corset) during my confinement period, that is, 44 days. I had to bear the fact that I could not wash my hair during my confinement. No cakes, no biscuits, no cabbage, no juices, and not even fried foods during my confinement days. It was a strict one but the most challenging part was the traditional wrap! The worst situation was to unwrap when I had to go to pee. Continue Reading

Do you know that when your skin is in ‘weak condition’, it can actually lead to a chronic and persistent inflammation which is one of the main causes of ageing? This is what Professor Claudio Franceschi of University of Bologna coined as ‘Inflammaging’. This phenomenon can occur when the skin is at the risk of invisible inflammation because of its weak condition. The body’s defence system is weakened through breaking up the key youth-sustaining skin structures which later lead to reduction in the production of Collagen and Elastin. Acute inflammation and repeated injury is part of the events which lead to chronic or silent inflammation such as deep wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, flaccid, and inelastic tissue.
I recently read an article about ‘Inflammaging’ and how it contributes to ageing. More and more professional skincare and product developers are now developing skincare products that would ‘solve’ this inflammaging problems. Basically, inflammation is a natural, and healthy immune response but an unmonitored inflammation levels can contribute to beauty issues or serious health issues that would ‘haunt’ the life in long-term. Inflammaging arises when chronic inflammation leads to ageing. This inflammaging destroys the metabolic balance to produce collagen fibers and replacement of new fibers and skin cells. It actually decreases the cellular metabolic activity and collagen renewal which contributes to the skin losing its suppleness, elasticity, and flaccidity.
There are many skincare products which contain ingredients that can combat inflammaging. Here are some of the popular ingredients which you can find in skincare products. These ingredients have been popular to combat inflammation and inflammaging:
- Beta Glucans
- Superoxide Dismutase
- Plant Stem Cells
- Blue Agave
- Green Tea
- Aloe Vera
- Willow Herbs
- Magnolia Bark
- Omega-3 & 6
- Spin Traps
- Tamanu Oil
- Camu Camu
- L-Ascorbic Acid
- Boswellic Acid
- Copper Peptides
- Giant Knotweed
- Noni Fruit Extract
- Rosemary Extract
- Alpha Lipolic Acid
When taking care the skin, it is also important to include serums containing ingredients such as amino acids, phospholipids, hyaluronic acids, and lactates which can help in epidermal growth. This is later followed with anti-oxidants and inflammatory cremes to reduce the irritation and combat inflammation. Peeling treatments should be done wisely by choosing Acids that can work well with the epidermal layer. Such treatment that combat inflammaging includes lactic acid, salicylic acid, malic acid, or pyruvic acid. One should also take note to protect the natural moisturizing factor after skin exfoliation. Do not forget to protect the skin with proper sunscreen protection (SPF 30+).
While inflammation cannot be addressed as a simple issue, taking preventative action before it becomes chronic is to use anti-inflammatory skincare product. Here are some of the products which you might want to consider because they have been recommended anti-inflammatory products which can be used to combat inflammaging.

I was so excited when I finally received an email from The Adventist Church that the long awaiting film will be launched on 22nd October 2016. Why was 22nd October chosen? It’s the day when the Millerites were in great disappointment because of their belief that God would come on that day. Anyway, ‘Tell the World’ is a lengthy movie about the early movement and the birth of Seventh-Day Adventist.
