I know this might be a little too late review about Garnier Skin Naturals Visible Whitening Face Powder Lasting Shine-Free SPF18 but I recently bought myself this face powder because my cousin asked me to try it. Being curious myself, I decided to stop at Watsons and bought one for myself.
What They Say
Long lasting shine free effect Vitamin C. Get fairness that doesn’t shine. Garnier Light visible whitening face powder provides whitening effect and a 6 hours shine free look in an ultra light texture.
Its formula combines:
- Micronized powder technology for an instant flawless coverage.
- Vitamin C to help inhibit melanin production.
- Strong UV protection SPF 18 to prevent skin from further darkening and dark spots appearance.
- Oil free texture that absorbs excess oil up to 6 hours.
- Fragrance free/non-comedogenic/non-drying.
What I Say
First of all, this pressed powder comes in a slim compact with a mirror and puff. I don’t really like the puff as I find it’s hard to blend onto the skin. It leaves this cakey look which I dislike the most. It’s just an ordinary compact packaging which is travel-friendly. The price is really affordable, too.
I bought #02 Natural because I would like to test its coverage, and I don’t want to look ‘too fair’. The powder has a medium coverage, and it’s suitable to be applied after applying BB cream. However, I notice that the powder cannot cover blemishes. I also notice that it is not suitable for dry and matured skin as it makes the skin looks quite dry, maybe it’s due to its oil-free texture which absorbs excess oil.
This powder is so-so, just a basic pressed powder which I think suitable for teenagers or those who have oily and normal skin. I would not recommend this to be used by people who have dry, matured, and combination skin, though. Furthermore, it would not be best to be used as ‘heavy base make-up’, and there’s a need to retouch every 3-4 hours.
Where To Buy
You can actually buy this from Watsons, Guardians, Giant, or any drugstores nearby.
